Crono, a boy from the year 1000 A.D., has been visiting the Leene Square for a carnival, befriending a girl named Marle, Crono comes also to visit his friend Lucca who's working on a teleportation unit. Marle is desperate to try and something goes wrong. Instead of transporting her from one podium to another, she goes somewhere far beyond Crono's time. Crono volunteers to help and thrust back through time. By befriending people, destroying hideous monsters Crono now finds the truth of what's going to happen. In 1999 A.D., Lavos will erupt from the Earth and turn it into a desolate wasteland. Brought forth by this oncoming threat Crono must team up with his comrades to travel through time which could change the past or alter the future… Crono, a young boy, is thrust to adventure by destiny to destroy an oncoming threat that will destroy the world in 1999. this was the best video game of all time next to Xenogears. deep charecters, excellent plot twists… and the opportunity to view some pretty messed up ending sequences. excellent replay value, with charecters who had emotions. the music, done by yasunori mitsuda and nobou uematsu was one of the best sound tracks EVER. I didn't play the Playstation version, but the SNES version of Chrono Trigger has, at my opinion, one of the most successful history of adventures ever build. If for somehow does exist an opportunity of partnership between the best know Japanese actors, mix with the occidental actors, on a scenery of medieval times, crossing all the others scenarios (dinossaur age, frozen future age, vacuum station) , I would bet on a very successful final result on the big screen. Imagine all a team trying to defeat Cronos (a very giant monster that control time) under earth of in some place of the universe which is access by the girl machine.
